Money, Gold and Diamonds
Life is not a bed of roses of we gallery owners. But, after all, one can still dream, really dream − of plenty, a lack of cares, and limitless wealth. For the Vitrine’s first round birthday I have therefore allowed myself a luxury. I have invited almost all the artists with whom I have had dealings during the last ten years to show a single work on the subject of “Money, Gold and Diamonds”. The response has been overwhelming: no fewer than 111 artists have got in touch – from Ahmed (Zaibi) to Werner (Meier). They are all now either standing in their studios or going through their archives, but on 18 March they will be ready. They will present pictures, drawings and photographs, sculptures made of thread, stone, wood or glass. The Vitrine will become a treasure chest and you are cordially invited to drop by.
