Nun Jetzt (Now)
Thurry Schläpfer is a regular guest at Galerie Vitrine. Two years after his black and white photographs he is now presenting new drawings. They are called Nun Jetzt, Transport and Standing Ovation. The titles sound like they relate to the here and now but they belong to pictures that the artist sees as “painted poetry”. Schläpfer’s works are springboards into a totally unique symbolic and dream world where gods, people, angels, birds and fish float through utopian worlds. Besides the drawings, a large-format chalk picture will also be exhibited. Schläpfer is painting it directly onto the wall. It will be washed off the day after the exhibition. But it won’t vanish into thin air as it will live in the memory of everyone who Thurry Schläpfer’s light as a feather fabulous creatures struck a chord with.
