TRANSITION, O NIGHT!
It has been five years since I exhibited Romuald Etter's glass paintings in the display case. After two exhibitions featuring works inspired by their places of origin in Senegal and Berlin, I became interested in his work on glass again. Romuald declined. We agreed on a selection of paintings that interact with the black walls of the display case. The result is “Transition, O Night.” Dark yet luminous oil-acrylic paintings such as Echo or Crossfade use the non-color black as an echo chamber, transforming the gallery into a total work of art in these days of shortening daylight hours. “Übergang, O Nacht” also marks the beginning of an abstract period in the display case. Romuald Etter will be followed by two other non-figurative artists. You can look forward to that too.
