From island to island
Dear friends of art
It is a pleasure for us to announce to you an art project that has never existed in this form before. The management of the Lucerne gallery Vitrine and the Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC) show 23 artists from the HeART of Switzerland. The Swiss artists will travel to Cuba and set up the exhibition together. The project stands for the cultural exchange between two countries that see themselves as islands in many respects. In the shadow of their politically and economicallypowering neighbors - the USA and the EU - both countries are struggling for theirown identity. The exhibition "From Island to Island" shows how Swiss artists react to this challenge and how they let themselves be inspired by Cuba. The opening in Havana will take place on July 18th. We look forward to your visit.
