The Beauty of Earth
The landscape watercolours by William Turner are world famous. The American novelist Henry James gushed about the “wonderful stage machinery of mist and fog” and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe felt the “formless greatness of nature” on Lake Lucerne. When Bruno Müller-Meyer views out of his studio window, he looks over the Kreuztrichter at Bürgenstock and Rigi. The lake at all times of the day and year has become one of his main motifs over the last 25 years. Galerie Vitrine is now showing a selection of his large-format lake pictures. Müller-Meyer “succeeds in creating both the complete and perfect as well as the open-ended and implied with the same intensity and expressiveness,” wrote the Lucerne teacher and publicist Guy André Mayor. There is nothing to add.
