Pat Noser lives in Nidau and works in Biel.
Glass, light & shadow
Between 1930 and 1970 the inhabitants of Venice and Murano used their waste to create an artificial island. Ursula Stalder has visited this place and innumerable strolls led her to traces of the glass artists of Murano. In the store window of the Vitrine she displays now an installation made of these found objects. In addition she places glass object trouvés on two walls.
The painter Pat Noser also explores the interplay of light and shadow. In her oil paintings she catches the sunbeam that falls upon a bunch of roses; or she portrays a mute swan. It is quite an experience to watch the animal gliding on the glittering waster, see how it puffs up his feathers and suspiciously looks at its own mirrored image.
