under and over
Rochus Lussi is not afraid of the big questions. He has been pursuing the riddle of human existence for years, equipped with a chainsaw and a cutting disc. He is showing his latest wooden objects in the Vitrine gallery. The eponymous work "drunter und drüber" (under and over) translates typical contemporary and social gestures, attitudes, and statements into gold-plated wooden figurines. 17 lambs on wheels invite us to reflect on the dynamics of peacefulness and herd instinct, while the work "Umhang" (cloak) questions the need for protection of those who take on responsibility. The theme of vulnerability is also explored in the 18-part installation "belle Ile". It revolves around the relationship between pain and recovery, care, and development.
