Wrinkled beauties
The pigments and optical effects on the pairs of wings serve as camouflage and warning for the moths. They are also a criterion when choosing a mate. I know it's all about the survival of the species. But that doesn't change the aesthetic fascination that butterflies exert on me. They are a unique, never-ending source of inspiration for me. My eleven new oil paintings all play with colors and shapes, patterns, and motifs from the realm of peacock moths, admirals, swallowtails, land moths and emperor butterflies. The works can be seen in the showcase from the Feast of the Assumption. There will be mulled wine and gingerbread. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have not had the chance to stop by for their loyalty in 2023 and wish them a wonderful festive season.
In addition to the paintings by Eve Lene, the display window will feature Neriage porcelain by Angela Burkhardt-Guallini and new embroidery art by Angela Spaeti.
