Do you travel by boat from time to time? Whilst you’ve been out an about on boats, have you perhaps asked yourself how you would portray the Schönbühl district of Lucerne, with its apartment blocks and the Biregg forest in the background, in a large oil painting? If you have, then visit this year’s summer exhibition by Bruno Müller-Meyer in the Gallery Vitrine. The painter from Lucerne strips back nature to its basics and simplifies it even more, until it moves us emotionally. Now, under the title “Gipfeltreffen” he collects new images with motifs from the Swiss Alps. In the centre is a monumental painting of the mountain “Jungfrau”. Fittingly, the singer Simone Felber and musician Pirmin Huber will accompany the preview by performing Swiss natural yodelling.
