“Our perception of space not only depends on what we see but also on what we hear”.
(Max Neuhaus, sound artist)
Franziska Meyer and Peter Färber attach four loudspeakers to the window of the Galerie Vitrine and make it swing. The window acts as a membrane emitting the sound inside and outside over a large area. From a collection of tones of flute and other sounds - either natural or electronically modified -Meyer and Färber arrange complex sound sequences which follow determined criteria or are randomly created. The sounds are never repeated so that surprising hearing experiences can be made.
