Davix (Stefan Davi) (*1966, Lucerne, Switzerland) lives and works in Lucerne. His interdisciplinary artistic practice spans abstract painting, photography, video, sound, and installation. Influenced by his background as a rock drummer, he combines gestural painting with experimental media, creating multilayered works in which image, space, and sound enter into dialogue. His work has been recognised with the Central Switzerland Jury Prize, the Central Switzerland Film Award, and the Swiss Viper Promotion Award. He has realised several Art in Architecture commissions, received an artist residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and was awarded grants by the City and Canton of Lucerne. His works are represented in important public and private collections.
