Bruno Müller Meyer

Bruno Müller-Meyer (*1952, Lucerne, Switzerland) is one of the leading figures of contemporary Swiss landscape painting. His large-scale oil paintings make the Alpine landscape not only visible but deeply tangible. With exceptional painterly mastery, he transforms light, atmosphere, and topography into powerful compositions, combining the tradition of classical landscape painting with a contemporary visual language. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva and later German literature, philosophy, and art history at the University of Zurich. He co-founded the Kunsthalle Lucerne and taught philosophy and art theory at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts from 1995 to 1999.
