Alex Porter (*1964) lives and works in Lucerne. His multifaceted artistic practice spans drawing, performance, theater, and music. For over three decades, he has been creating original works and stage productions characterized by poetic narrative power, subtle humor, and a distinctive visual language. For his work, he has been honored with awards including the Swiss cabaret prize “Prix de la Scène,” the Art and Culture Recognition Award, and the City of Lucerne Recognition Award.
In addition to his work as a performer and theater artist, Alex Porter is dedicated to the visual arts. His works have been presented at the VOLTA Art Fair, among other international art fairs, as well as in Japan, and are included in major private and public collections. As a long-time lecturer at the MAZ Media Training Center in Lucerne, he has also been shaping education in the field of media and communication for many years.
